Dans les années 1600, à Montréal la seule façon de communiquer abilleurs était avec le fleuve St Laurent. L’endroit choisi pour la ville était en bas des rapides, pour rejoindre le fleuve, il fallait faire du portage de Montréal à l’autre bout de l’île. En 1611 Samuel de Champlain examina les cartes de Montréal et dessina un plan pour un canal qui pourra franchir les rapides et rejoindre le fleuve.

Dow/O’keefe Brewery
This brewery was established in 1860, many additions were made throughout the years, in 1923 Louis-Auguste Amos, an architect, designed the bigger brick buildings. There was different complexes, the bottling plant, the brewery and the garage. The company was in a peak, but in 1966, sixteen people died because of an ingredient in the beer. The brewery then recalled all the beer that was made in a certain time frame and disposed of it. Following the deaths, the beer’s popularity declined. The company began a freefall to oblivion, Dow was then bought by O’keefe. Around 1995 O’keefe focused on its previous location and stopped producing beer at the current plant. Waterproof Bag SealLine (Review)
If you ever plan to go in such as bad condition that water can be with all your fency material, you shouldn’t leave without something good to carry it in. Rain is an issue, most bag offer a protection with it, like Lowepro, you can get water-resistant or water-proof from this compagny. Still, the waterproofness of their products is questionable: if I ever happen to go in a drain, not that it’s legal but everything happen in life, will it keep everything safe? : I don’t think so!

Leatherman Wave (Review)
Outil(s) multidiplicinaire(s), le wave de la compagnie Leatherman est un petit bijoux pour mes épaules: relativement petit (1 décimètre fermé) et seulement 240 grammes pour autant d’outils dans une aussi petite bébitte.
Au début du 20e siècle, une grande période de développement, Montréal est avantagé par sa position géographique. Situé à l’intersection des routes vers New York, les Grands Lacs et l’Atlantique. Le Saint-Laurent représente un axe puissant dans l’importation et l’exportation vers d’autres ports. Ceci dit, cette situation accentue les besoins de Montréal de se doter des outils nécessaires pour l’industrie céréalière. Plusieurs entrepôts faits de bois existaient déjà vers la fin du 19e siècle. Entre 1859 et 1872, entre la rue Wellington et le Canal Lachine, un entrepôt nommé ‘’Warehouse A’’ était destiné au marché domestique. Les ententes entre le CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) et les Commissaires Du Havres De Montréal donneront lieu à de multiple élévateurs dans le port de la ville en plein développement industriel.
